These four jets aren’t sitting on top of each other—they’re just flying very close together. What’s more amazing is that each pilot is flying at more than 400 miles per hour! This is just one of many death-defying moves perfected by the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy’s aerial stunt team.
Since first taking flight in 1946, the Blue Angels have thrilled crowds across the U.S. This year, the team is scheduled to celebrate its 75th birthday by performing at nearly 30 air shows. That will include a show during Memorial Day weekend, when we honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
